I always have several irons in multiple fires. Here’s what I’m currently looking at…
Estepp/Turner genealogy of Central Kentucky – tree on Rootsweb
Specifically William Estep and Nancy Miller’s family. They married in Clay county sometime in 1874. Their children had tragedy upon tragedy. Dead babies, murder victims, and shallow graves seem to follow this family around.
7th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry
An on again-off again muster record transcription project. Really need to make it possible to enter this information directly into the web database rather than using this intermediate step I have. Klugy at best. We’ll get there eventually. Company A has all the Adjutant General information already available. Surnames through H have been entered and I think they are now part of the database.
Cumberland Gap Campaign of 1862
This is one of the Civil War’s least researched campaigns. There were so many other high profile campaigns going on at the same time as General Morgan’s evacuation and retreat from Cumberland Gap and they seem to get all the lime light. I’m hoping to change some of that. I have nothing to share on this just yet but hope to start publishing some vignettes soon.
Various and Sundry Family Histories
